BTC will remain disconnected from patterns like this until the 4 year cycle is disproven or at the very least people are given a convincing reason to doubt. If you believe the 4 year cycle is an unquestionable fact as many do, then you discount all good news, it simply doesn’t matter because the 4 year cycle dictates 2026 will be a down year and thus in their eyes it must be so. Which is why everything else can go up while BTC remains stagnant. However these same sellers if given a convincing reason to believe crypto is going higher in 2026, become buyers. As their original reason why they sold is called into question. It’s at that point BTC and the wider crypto market reprices back in all that good news that’s been discounted.
