It took 5 hours by car to reach Luxor, and the ride felt like I was in Syria, with dust everywhere and bumpy roads. I swayed for 5 hours to get to the hotel, I almost peed myself. When I arrived at the hotel, I found a Chinese restaurant nearby within a few minutes, and I had a hearty meal of Chinese food that was so delicious—spicy chicken, scallion beef stir-fried with shredded potatoes, and a serving of dumplings.
