“It’s better to always look at the silver lining for every cloud. There’s some infinite wisdom that I can’t always see and, I don’t get to choose my own miracles. I can certainly try to sway the outcomes, and so the next 2 odd weeks of my life will be spent trying to convince Offender Management Unit to get me to a category d prison sooner rather than later, given that I’m white collar, never offended before, never going to reoffend again, and no risk to anybody. A d cat prison would be heaven, compared to Pentonville, which is a b cat. What is most likely though is I’ll be in c cat for a while, which is still leagues ahead of where I’ve been. I would get many hours out of the cell, and be able to lead a more productive lifestyle. D cat, however, is a ‘walk in, walk out’ jail, where I might be able to get a full time job or equivalent and pay the prison 70% of my earnings for rent. Onwards and Upwards. With 7.5 years sentenced, and 6 years after guilty credit, I’ll have about a year left to serve.” -Stacc
