🚨🇺🇸 HOUSE OVERSIGHT DELAYS CLINTON EPSTEIN DEPOSITIONS TO JANUARY, THREATENS CONTEMPT IF THEY DON'T COMPLY
The Clintons wanted out... Comer said no.
Bill and Hillary Clinton were scheduled to give depositions this week about their ties to Jeffrey Epstein, but their appearances have been pushed to January after their attorney cited a funeral conflict but refused to provide alternative dates.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer wasn't having it.
He unilaterally assigned new dates: Bill Clinton on January 13, Hillary Clinton on January 14.
In a letter obtained by Politico, Comer made the stakes clear:
"If your clients do not comply with these new dates, the Committee will move immediately to contempt proceedings."
The delay comes just days after Oversight Democrats released photos from Epstein's estate showing Bill Clinton posing with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
The DOJ is due to release a trove of Epstein investigative materials by Friday.
A Clinton spokesperson has said the former president "disassociated himself" from Epstein before his 2019 arrest and "had no knowledge of his crimes."
Congress isn't buying it.
They want answers under oath.
The Clintons have dodged accountability for decades.
This time, contempt of Congress is on the table if they don't show up.
