I call this the Steak Infation Index. Quality beef in Europe is ridiculously expensive. The same cut, same quality, in South Africa, is far more affordable. But honestly every time I see the price of steak, I fall into the ‘why are groceries getting more expensive’ trap. Goods and services aren’t getting more expensive. Our money is losing purchasing power.
