🚨🇺🇸 GRAND JURY TWICE REJECTS DOJ CASE AGAINST LETITIA JAMES
Two strikes, still no indictment.
A second federal grand jury in Virginia has refused to charge New York Attorney General Letitia James with mortgage fraud, handing the Justice Department another public faceplant.
The first rejection came in Norfolk, Virginia.
The second, in Alexandria, Virginia.
Both said no thanks.
The case was already limping after a judge tossed the original indictment last month, ruling the Trump appointed prosecutor who filed it wasn’t legally appointed.
DOJ tried again with a fresh team, new pitch, same result, silence from the grand jury room.
Prosecutors had claimed James misled a bank about a home purchase back in 2020 to score a better rate, saving about $19,000.
Grand jurors apparently didn’t buy it.
James’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, called the back-to-back rejections proof the case “should never have seen the light of day.”
Twice presented, twice rejected.
