Today, in a step forward for real world asset tokenization on Sui, @SagintInc announces it has selected Sui as its Layer 1 blockchain partner.

Here’s why that matters → SAGINT is building tokenized, traceable digital assets for critical minerals. SAGINT helps @ReElementTech tokenize critical minerals like neodymium, the chemical element used to make high-powered magnets. It’s used in audio equipment like loudspeakers, headphones and microphones as well as other electronics, even hybrid cars.

Neodymium and the other other critical minerals @ReElementTech produces require high levels of traceability as they move from mining to transit to refinement. Without verifiable traceability, both the supply chain and the value of the minerals are at risk.

Various steps of the supply chain change the base mineral as it’s refined from something pulled from the earth to the magnet helping your in-ear headphones produce sound.

Any token representing a base mineral needs to be able to record and represent changes that occur during refinement while maintaining that critical amount of traceability. Enter Sui and its object-centric design.
