In 2015 American citizen Kate Steinle was killed in San Francisco by an illegal immigrant. The illegal had previously been deported five times and just a few months before killing Kate, he was in prison in San Francisco. ICE had issued a detainer for him but the prison ignored it because SF is a sanctuary city. This is an amazing clip. It shows how reflexive it is for Democrats to attempt to protect illegals and sanctuary cities, even when it makes no sense. July, 2015. Pelosi is asked about Kate Steinle. She immediately starts saying that Kate's death had nothing to do with the fact that SF is a sanctuary city. She then asks why the prison didn't turn the illegal over to ICE.
