This is counterproductive from Trump for his own goals but will likely result in tighter monetary policy The Fed has no world view or rules at all (negative 9% real rates in 2021!) and will just makes sh*t up for political reasons so if they feel attacked will be hawkish

There is no Fed chair in history who even remotely rivals how dovish Powell has been over his term. Absolutely no one close In apples / apples terms he oversaw the largest inflation wave ever and with inflation stuck above target and full employment he’s still cutting rates

So just let the man cook. If you want a Fed chair to destroy your economy with inflation and pump stocks Powell is your man The all time GOAT of just F it and cut rates But Fed won’t like hearing his not enough and the pressures from Trump
