One thing I keep coming back to while creating this collection is the lineage of inspiration behind it. Flowers have lived in art for centuries, shaped by so many hands and visions, so it became a pursuit of finding my own voice. This summer I saw an exhibition at the Thyssen in Madrid that included several of Georgia O’Keeffe’s works and they stopped me in an instant. They pulled me into a world that felt raw, intimate, and strangely new. I understood that if I wanted to create something meaningful, I needed to let myself feel that same intensity while making my own pieces. My research later took me to MALBA in Buenos Aires, where the fantastical imagery of Frida Kahlo and Leonora Carrington opened another door. Their mythical, powerful feminine energy helped me finish the last images while exploring themes that I struggled to envision these last months. It made me see something clearly: subjects in art can return again and again, yet what gives them purpose is the way each artist chooses to tell the story.
