Nothing prepares you for the whiplash of becoming a Republican… ...and immediately watching Republicans try to destroy Republicans I’m new to the conservative movement. I’m not a pundit. I’m not important AT ALL. I’m just a guy who got red-pilled after Hurricane Helene. And I was and STILL AM genuinely excited to be a Republican. But it was painful as hell. I lost a lot of friends from doing so, but EVEN IN THAT, it still felt like relief. Because that's what discovering truth feels like... relief. I finally saw how much of what I believed had been curated. How the media could run cover for positions that roped my empathy into supporting things that were clearly making life worse for the very people I felt empathy for. I finally woke up. And THAT is why what’s happening on the Right is so painful to watch. It’s like the Right is addicted to a circular firing squad. Every disagreement turns into disloyalty test. ...
