I don't think the MAGA movement understands how bad stuff like this is for them. They've built a whole apparatus whose purpose is performative cruelty. It doesn't care about your citizenship status, it mostly cares about smashing faces in the ground, any faces. Aside from the obvious fact that this is morally reprehensible - random raids where citizens and non-citizens alike are dragged around by masked police, children being ripped away from weeping mothers, men getting black-bagged because they look brown - they seem to think they can do this with no political repercussions. They're very wrong.
