This starts to be getting some attention now I'm still trying to check if 1. @zcashstrategy claims are real 2. the email is really from the @ZcashFoundation 3. what's the reasoning behind that Overall, my opinion is that: > if this is real, it doesn't look good -> i'll likely withdraw my support to Zcash, the project > if real, it goes against FOSS/crypto culture that one entity has so much control over the "zcash" name, which generates unnecessary risks and uncertainties to Zcash-related independent projects That said, it's important to get the full picture before taking conclusions I would love to see more evidence from Zcash Strategy backing its post and either a confirmation or denial from the Zcash Foundation related to it I wouldn't post/amplify the OP before getting all the facts, but it's spreading already, so I think it's important to make this post as well I've sent DMs and emails seeking more info I plan to cover the matter today as a story for Coinspeaker and/or for thecoding.substack
