Nucleus Genomics CEO Kian Sadeghi believes every parent has a right to select the qualities they most desire, like height and intelligence, and try to avoid illness in their future children. Sadeghi calls it “genetic optimization,” but it comes with serious ethical concerns. The 25-year-old founder told @tonydokoupil that his company has already helped thousands of families and shared why he doesn’t believe his company is engaging in eugenics: “It's fundamentally about empowering people with information that they can use to give their child the best start in life.”
