Today I turn 29. Here are 9 things I’ve learned in 9 years working at startups: 1. Nobody really knows what they’re doing. 2. Speed compounds more than talent. 3. Reputation compounds faster than skills. 4. Titles do not matter. 5. People-related decisions are always the hardest. 6. Even when you don’t know what to do, do something. 7. Protect your energy 8. Iterate fast, don’t get attached to ideas. 9. You don’t need it all figured out. Just keep going.
