Re-iterating, this is real. not CGI.
150+ engineers, T-800 is completely done by in-house RnD by Engine AI. Their old half size humanoid exits in the opening scene.
This robot is built for heavy duty, it only has 3 fingers, has unbelievable locomotion.

If you want to understand where this company is coming from, its founded by Zhao Tongyang.
Zhao has an incredible background, used to work at Xpeng (IRON Humanoid) and made them build their first ever robot in less than 6 months.

Engine AI is a real company, with real employees, some of the brightest and most insane robotics engineers and scholars in the world.
People stay here, the have worked together prior, and is now on a mission to get humanoids to every corner of the globe.

T-800 video might look CGI, but its not. It's just very well made and I can't wait for them to release some more basic looking video to show it off more.
There are some impressive specs here, would have to wait for them to be verified by 3rd party. But its ability to jump comes from the 450nm!! torque it can produce from its motors and actuators.
Posting full specs below.

Size, 173cm and 75kg with battery (impressive)

Motion params, runs on Intel N97 and AGX Orin and has 3 m/s as top speed (not Usain Bolt type runs but still impressive).

Power/Motor specs.
72 volt system, 2-4h battery range (guess depends on how much fighting it will be doing)
Swappable battery architecture, and 2.5 hour charge speed. (2 batteries for continuous use)

From their shop:
The humanoid robotics field is currently in a global early-stage exploration phase.
Individual users are strongly advised to fully understand the current limitations of this technology before purchasing.
This product is designated for civilian use.
It's more and more clear to me and probably others, that China is leading in robotics, maybe due to its lead on drones, and electrification in general.
Maybe even more so simply because they churn out so many more engineers that anyone else on the planet.
Hard to compete if you don't have the manpower to do so.
Find all the info, and order!? the robot directly on their website.
Here is one for you @swombat - It's real.
EngineAI has established strategic collaborations with industry giants including NVIDIA, Amazon, , Tencent, and ByteDance to advance humanoid robotics applications across commercial services, hazardous operations, and cultural tourism. These partnerships are accelerating the path to large-scale commercial adoption.
I also think a lot of people outside of China have a hard time coping with the fact that Chinese online videos have a trend to be SUPER highly polished.
It's also very culturally accurate to put "No AI, no CGI" when appropriate in Chinese culture.
You need to understand their entire society is infused with AI far longer ahead then the west. They are more used to it than us.
