I hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for international students at Harvard, and I’m convinced this will be a special cohort. For those of us who can only afford school through scholarships, Thanksgiving is a stressful time. You can’t go home (in some cases you buy a one way ticket and hope for the best), and you can’t afford to do much. By the end of the semester, money is running low, so most people just stay on campus and eat frozen food. So I pitched this idea to one my close friends, and we made it happen. We hope to grow this initiative in the years to come.
