A top Jack Smith lieutenant, Thomas Windom, has been waging a (losing) battle in court to ask Chief Judge Boasberg whether the House Judiciary Committee's topics for him might violate grand jury secrecy. Boasberg denied him in September.

Windom moved to unseal the secret court filings this week, saying they would undercut claims that he has attempted to defy Congress and has acted in a corrupt way.
