On days when it's very clear that academia, the government, and the private sector all have major issues with fraud, it makes me feel like we'll never achieve longevity escape velocity. Biotech just seems so incredibly doomed. Scams get funded and credible work does not.

You cannot have "bio/acc" or any other form of biological technological accelerationism when everyone is crunchy, when everyone buys into scams and grifters, and when money and data access are systematically misallocated by and to imbeciles and frauds.

There are a handful of biotech outfits I find impressive, like @arcinstitute. But sometimes you'll look in the latest batch of your favorite accelerator, check the biotechs and medical companies, and see that all of them are scams that can, at best, pivot.
