Now that Devconnect is over, I can speak more openly about a few things. The main divide, both in Argentina and globally, in crypto and in AI, is between people who are trying to build real value for society and people who are trying to extract rents from it. Most of the discussions around Devconnect revolved around that tension.
Check this tweet by @santisiri: "We continue giving live prompting talks where we invent a startup in 30 minutes using all the artificial intelligences on the market. Yesterday we included one on robotics made in Argentina 🇦🇷 to compete in the new wave of domestic robots."
How can somebody say this? It’s obvious it’s not serious. It’s almost like a joke to founders and technical people.
Many people in Ethereum and in crypto confuse an industry to build with their family. You can, and should, make friends through your work, but the moment you start defending your friends when they say things like this, you need to stop and ask yourself what you’re actually supporting.
A startup every 30 minutes 🙄😂.

🚨Siri, I bet that 1 in 4 Argentinians use cryptocurrencies without blushing.
Not even in Palermo do you have that proportion.
The need to exaggerate to gain attention only leads you one way, to the valley of distrust.
