a few days back, cloudflare goes down → all of the internet evaporates. honestly, moments like these make the thesis even clearer to me. so, i’ve dug up the drawers for some spare phones and made this little "phonefarm" setup…. 😂 i started with two iphone, now even an old android phone has joined the crew and it works lol tiny setup, but it’s cool knowing these little devices are part of a network trying to break the cloud monopoly. there wont be a case where "our server died so your entire stack is gone.” this is exactly why i’m so bullish on depin and why i’m proud to see $11m raised. some @Acurast numbers: - 149k+ phones connected (i have contributed some of it here) - 87k+ deployments - 492m+ on-chain txs - $11m raised from @CoinList @peaq, @gavofyork, @MNCapital_vc, @scytaledigital, @Web3foundation and we’re still early. tge coming. the machine economy is forming. acurast is one of the few actually pushing it forward. onward ☁️
