America has two political parties but three main ideological groupings, a liberal center divided between the parties that used to be the dominant element in both coalitions and then post-liberal elements that secured the upper hand in the GOP and is gaining ground among Dems.

There used to be a class-oriented patriotic left as well, but it’s been largely displaced by eco-doomers, third worldism, and weird identity stuff.
