I am sympathetic to these guys in that it is hard to know how to engage with the insane theories of an insane person with a large platform. By debunking everything, are you just giving oxygen? There’s a legal process, so I’m sure they’re being advised to be sane and disciplined as they talk about this. But Mikey’s anecdote here is just one tiny example of how innocent things, misunderstood in the wake of a tragedy, can be turned into really hurtful “clues” in the hands of someone who is determined to make a malicious plot out of everything. It’s sad he has to do this while grieving. Spoiler: all of the “clues” fall apart in similar ways upon examination.
