finally got a chance to use the formlabs form 4 printer that they sent me because i gave them a month of ad space on my profile (i've been extremely busy) holy shit. this is alien technology

it is a huge pain in the ass compared to FDM printing but the output is just so much better. it's like. FDM is trash that my wife hates and resin are things that my wife would think i bought at a store. do you know what i mean? like anything ill actually use is resin from now

btw FDM is irreplacable. FDM is like. a super fast compiler for testing v0 prototypes. but for actual really nice v1 prototype that you'd want to show a customer, i am doing exclusively resin prints now their resins are just so nice also rip my wallet

i thought that the smell was going to be bad but i actually cannot smell it. i do have a ventilated tube / system for my home lab that i'm attaching but my impression was that it was much worse than it actually is

@CooperZurad i'm going to make a bunch of tiny ass gears using their tough resin i'll let you know how it goes

honestly i'm seriously proud of myself for swinging getting one ahahahahahahahahahaha this is sick
