PM Netanyahu at the Government Meeting: "Our opposition to a Palestinian state in any territory has not changed. Gaza will be demilitarized, and Hamas will be disarmed, the easy way or the hard way. I do not need affirmations, tweets, or lectures."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "I want to address two specific issues: The first issue is the subject of the alleged 'non-demilitarization' of the part of Gaza that is in the hands of Hamas. There will be no such thing.
Even in the 20-point plan, and in everything else, this territory will be demilitarized, and Hamas will be disarmed. Either this will happen the easy way or it will happen the hard way. This is what I said, and this is what President Trump also said.
And regarding a Palestinian state: Our opposition to a Palestinian state in any territory west of the Jordan River, this opposition is existing, valid, and has not changed one bit.
I have been rebuffing these attempts for decades and I am doing it both against pressures from outside and against pressures from within. So, I do not need affirmations, tweets, or lectures from anyone.
Recently, we have been witnessing two types of disturbances that we reject completely. One is the disturbances against elected officials, whoever they may be, and there was such violence against our friend, MK Ben-Tzur, just yesterday.
This is a very small minority; it does not represent the ultra-orthodox public. But we must fight these violations of the law with all our might, and we will do so.
The second thing is also done by a minority, a minority that enters Judea and Samaria, and does not represent the large public of settlers, who are law-abiding and loyal to the state.
And against these disturbances - both against IDF soldiers and against Palestinians, we will take very forceful action against this, because we are a nation of law, and a nation of law acts according to the law.
