Recently, @wmpeaster wrote about Paragraph. We use Paragraph to publish our weekly round up newsletter as well. Here’s a summary of what William shared: #1: Onchain publishing in Paragraph offers what its larger peers can't (like Beehiv and Substack). #2: Example: Paragraph’s “post coins” was introduced six months ago. It gives writers the ability to earn without ads or paywalls. Readers can support their fav writers with onchain payment as well. No compulsion here! #3: Recently, Paragraph launched “writer coins.” These are tokenized profile similar to Zora’s creator coin. #4: Readers can claim rewards (tokens) for subscribing to a specific writer. For example: @donnelly_b is the first to launch a writer coin! Early subscribers received an allocation! #5: Paragraph is truly supporting both the sides here: writer and the reader. The goal of writer coins and post coins being support via direct patronage, i.e. open payments, without having to deal with centralized cards or high platform fees. I am interested to see how this plays out. I am also using the coin feature myself, though TBD how this translates into earnings. Time will tell. That said, I am glad Paragraph is experimenting here! ✌️ PS: Been using @paragraph_xyz for dTech Pulse since last 3 months. It wasn’t for any of the above reasons, really. I did it to support the onchain culture!
