NYTimes article quotes someone saying they are "terrified" of Waymo in paragraph 6. Waits until paragraph 33 (out of 44 paragraphs) to mention that they are 91 percent safer than human drivers. How outraged would liberals be if a news outlet covered vaccines like this?

The article does mention that human drivers kill hundreds of cats every year so that's something.

@joftius You need RCTs for drugs because otherwise you have to worry about biases like sicker patients opting to take the drugs. It seems pretty unlikely that the routes chosen by Waymo passengers are 5-10 times more crash prone than typical routes chosen by human drivers.

@SAVESEPTA_NOW @danielcincu @ModeledBehavior I would be all for a more rigorous auditing process but I also don't think there's any reason to think they are failing to report crashes.
