Everyone wants freedom. But the irony is, the sacrifices you need to make to achieve this in today's society can work against your freedom in many ways. I feel like I'm in a gilded cage sometimes. I'm financially "free", but ironically the least free I've ever been. Managing a big business/portfolio comes with a lot more pressure/responsibility. For example, I could theoretically fly to Europe tomorrow - but the opportunity cost would be massive. I could take a month off, but my business would crumble. You're constantly incentivised to keep your foot on the gas, or risk falling behind. If you don't do the work, your competitors will. There's always someone coming to eat your lunch. Not complaining - I love the game. And I thrive under the pressure. But if you're going to play it just be aware of what you're getting yourself into.
