🇺🇸 Today we held our monthly inflation webinar for our premium subscribers. We went in-depth (macro, categories, and subcategories) on what Truflation’s real-time data is showing, and revealed our forecast for the next CPI print, alongside a Q&A session. Last time, we shared the forecast with our subscribers on Oct 13, and when the official CPI finally came out (delayed) on Oct 24, it printed exactly 3.0%, precisely as we predicted. This time, the next BLS CPI print will likely face an even longer delay. Unlike September (when data was collected before the shutdown), October data hasn’t been collected at all. That means there’s now an entire month of missing price collection that would need to be reconstructed, if that’s even possible. Meanwhile, Truflation continues to gather millions of real-time price data points each day.
