The internet of old was a land to be discovered. It wasn't optimized, nor was it clean, but it was beautiful in its own way. We were once active participants in the frontier. Today, the internet has turned into something to be passively consumed. There are no longer "aha" moments, but rather the algorithm engine feeding us the familiar and often the equivalent of sugar being pumped into the attention cortex. Bring back randomness. Bring back imperfection.
