/ Just rode my first @zoox self-driving car. As an early tester for Waymo, Cruise, and Robotaxi, this felt different:
/ When the car pulled up, its double doors flipped open like wings 🪽 Inside, two sets of foam seats faced each other. Each seat had its own panel with temperature and music controls. Up top, there was an open skylight. ☀️
/ With no steering wheel and modular seats, I love that Zoox redesigned the idea of a car into a social experience. Most robotaxis feel like normal cars. This one felt like a cozy party bus. 🪩
/ On the road, you could ride both backwards and forwards. While it felt fun with upbeat pop music blasting, the ride was a lot jerkier compared to Waymo. This was the first self-driving car where I've gotten carsick with its acceleration algorithm. Hope this improves soon 🌀
/ For me, self-driving has felt mostly the same since 2022. Zoox is the first car to change that. I'd want to ride this often with friends, turning our commute into a hangout experience. Can't wait for the Zoox launch! 🚙
