When I first entered the space if “John” came and shared a gem with the GC, and then as “John” was sharing the gem with other GCs/ friends - “Dave” in the vc decided to PvP and deploy his own so he could corner supply for himself (and as a result fuck “John” over, “John” is rewarded for sharing the gem by being pvpd, losing money; and having his trust harmed due to his friends also losing money) meanwhile no one is really making money anyways because the PvP ruins them both, except “Dave” is making money off of the creator fees so he doesn’t give a fuck and he’ll do it again next time. Back then (a whole year ago) that would have been grounds for excommunication. How lucky we were in the pre-Mitch era.
