The @cosmoshub and ATOM can massively benefit from the future of global finance transitioning on-chain. Cosmos Labs CMO @qxnico and Ecosystem Growth Lead @RoboMcGobo delivered a @CosmoverseHQ keynote discussing the future of Cosmos Hub and ATOM.

After speaking with customers and helping them onboard to Cosmos, there's many things their chains need that we think the Hub and ATOM could offer. Examples include asset issuance, services like RPCs, and neutral interoperability services, among many other options.

To build these use cases, and capture the opportunity, we need to first build better fundamentals for ATOM. We want to work with the community to explore this responsibly and design a better model.

To get there, we are focusing on three core pillars of work for the Cosmos Hub, and ATOM: 1. Growing the dedicated Hub team to support its roadmap. 2. Update our delegation program and Hub initiatives. 3. Re-evaluating tokenomics design with the community.

1/ Dedicated Hub team + Roadmap Led by @RoboMcGobo, with the technical leadership of @HyphaCoop, and the guidance of Cosmos Labs, this team will take on the Hub's ecosystem and technical roadmap. The work will start with enabling Tokenfactory bringing Comet's performance upgrades to the Hub.

2/ Delegation Program & Hub initiatives @RoboMcGobo has just joined the Labs team to lead growth initiatives for the @cosmoshub and ATOM. A major part of this is an updated delegation program. The updated program will aim to promote Hub health, validator stability, and open up mechanisms to reward valuable technical/non-technical contributions made by validators. 3/ Re-evaluating tokenomics design Capturing the growth opportunities of Cosmos' growing adoption requires better fundamentals for ATOM.
