Life advice for single young burger males: Instead of renting some horrible shoebox apartment in Chicago/Minneapolis/Portland for $2.5k rapidly-debasing American dollars per month... Get: - 50k truck ($850/mo payment) - 50k RV (fifth wheel) ($650/mo payment) - Rent a lot for $1000 per month on one of the countless RV parks on the beach in FL/GA/SC/etc You can get jacked and tan and swim in the ocean every day and walk under the stars every night... You can do your laptop-maxxing in the RV or sitting on the beach or in a local coffee shop each day... Get a gym membership (or just a nice pair of adjustable-weight dumbbells)... And you'll eventually own the truck and the fifth wheel outright (which isn't as good as owning a house but is better than not owning anything renting an apartment)... Note: Don't get a drivable RV though - it will be way more expensive to get a nice one and they depreciate way faster because there's an engine in it - get a 5th wheel and a truck to tow it with. You can get a VERY nice 5th wheel for 50k - its incredible value for the money quite frankly. This is 100% would I would do in current year if I was in such a position 🤝

Would reinforce that the above is not some kind of bootstraps-maxxing "accept less young man" type of suggestion... On the contrary, the entire point is to maximize your sovereignty and autonomy and put yourself in an environment in which you can maxx out your power level and live a more vitalist lifestyle... And it is obviously incumbent upon all of us to be building as much wealth and power as possible at all times... Also, neither is it some kind of societal prescription or ideal obviously... In that regard my inclination would be closer to tearing down this depressing boomer hellscape entirely and raising 1000 Minas Tirith's in its place :)
