WalletConnect is exploring network monetization. End users won’t be charged - the experience stays free and seamless.

Fees would only apply to apps that generate the most volume ($1M+ monthly TNV (Total Network Volume) through the Network. Fee exploration is being done in collaboration with key ecosystem stakeholders. Fees would be paid in $WCT, creating recurring demand tied directly to network usage.

Collected WCT would support innovation, fund community rewards & initiatives, and strengthen the ecosystem. The goal: long-term sustainability.
