I'm no economist, but if I had to circle my calendar for a "sell the news" event this quarter, it would likely come the week of November 3rd. There are three open Advance Notices of Proposed Rulemaking comment periods for the GENIUS Act, which close over the next few weeks, with the last being November 4th. Once these periods close, the GENIUS Act shifts from the gathering input phase into drafting concrete rules and refinements for the legislation. A large milestone that is needed to stay on track with publicizing the final rules by July 18th of next year. If there are no delays, I would expect a ton of positive narratives surrounding tradfi/ institutional adoption of blockchain rails at this time, creating a pop of euphoria until folks realize we are still 8 months away from implementation.
