The reasons Bojan listed are exactly why AI scientists are critical: AI will address nearly every point he made, most of which I agree with. That said, intelligence remains a major bottleneck with exponentially increasing data acquisition and expansion of knowledge sets. We are not equipped to process such vast amounts of information; it is beyond our current capabilities. That’s also part of the point he is making actually. As a radical view, I argue that once we achieve superintelligence, nearly all of science should be fully driven by AI. I plan to outline a roadmap for this, as it is critical for the future of humanity.
