Memes are a garbage, zero-sum boring form of speculation. Of course I've bought meme coins, I've participated in most different categories in crypto, but this one is definitely the least interesting for me personally. Stuff like ZEC and the privacy tech/use case getting attention is just way more interesting, especially with government overreach and surveillance getting way out of hand. I was also into Railgun a while back, and thought that was very cool. Tech was the thing that first brought me into crypto, so I'm always happy to see good tech that solves a societal problem in the limelight. Privacy is the kind of topic I could chat to a few friends down the pub about, and they would instantly all be somewhat interested about things that are being built in crypto to enable more freedom for the individual, as they can see governments are turning very authoritarian all around the world. They probably wouldn't do anything about it, but we could have a convo about it. Outside of people I know that have a gambling addiction, I've never had a single friend interested in meme coins. It's always been seen as cringe. I would much rather speculate on something that might have a positive impact on the world and create some value. More purposeful, fulfilling and likely to actually result in profit over a longer time horizon. Each to their own though, speculate however you want to speculate.
