No, the problem is their reductionist and, above all, fundamentalist view of the issue, where they try to impose their vision at all costs: criticizing, vilifying, insulting, throwing tantrums, biting, and basically acting like fanatics. On the other hand, I don't know a single gen AI enthusiast who goes around trying to force others to use or not use certain tools.
