Sitting at a cafe and eavesdropping. A chick in her late 20s to early 30s was talking about her relationship history. Attractive and slender. She was in a 9 year relationship, then in a 3 year relationship, then in another 3 year relationship, and now she’s in a new one and she just told her friend. She declared she hasn’t been single in awhile. They’re on the phone with yet another “guy friend.” The problem with settling down or marrying late isn’t age itself but you have a high probably of meeting people with PhD levels of emotional baggage. The way she talked was like those guys were meaningless. What happened to those bonds? Dating older isn’t bad because you’re older, it’s bad because most people’s attitudes and past sucks once years of enmeshing themselves with others has taken a toll. Past matters because that indicates the future.
