Mission-critical activities of CDC and ATSDR to protect human life and to detect and respond to imminent disease threats will continue during the lapse in appropriations. These include:   •CDC’s 24/7 Emergency Operations Center. •Detection and response to urgent public health threats. •Responses to reporting from state and local health agencies regarding infectious individuals intending to travel. •Laboratory functions for urgent clinical care.  •Continued activities of the World Trade Center Health Program, the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act, and the Vaccines for Children program. @CDCgov
