Great finding here. China's actual consumption level is not nearly as low as it's believed to be, because of low prices and undervalue currency. Here, CF40, China's leading economic thinktank directly put the Chinese consumption basket and try to value them in local prices in the US, Mexico, Japan, France and Germany. Truth is? The same basket is as high as 80% of the US, not the "only 10% of the US" should nominal prices be believed. That's a 8x difference!! Read more here:
