True masculine virtue comes from a place of strength. So to be specific: manly virtue is rooted in the competence and willingness of ruthlessness, tempered by mercy rooted in discernment. This doesn't mean being categorically merciful, but knowing when to forgive, and when to punish swiftly. It does not mean being infinitely tolerant of everything - in fact, not knowing when to be intolerant in itself is a vice, because by being cowardly or permissive you enable all manner of destructive behaviours under the guise of "inclusion" and "tolerance" and "enlightenment" - which is essentially the western story of the past half century, and it's backfired terribly.
