I had a chat with a few friends recently regarding news trading and edge and how it’s evolved over time Don’t think I’ve seen this before on twitter but I’m here to say that news trading is not an edge anymore Edge is created through seeing something that others overlook or having access to information that others don’t In certain cases this obviously is irrelevant eg global events but… Everyone uses a terminal and has access to the same news. The edge now is speed via bots.. and the market has already been cornered by a select few If you are a regular guy hoping to make it in crypto simply with a terminal and a dream then it’s time to pivot and find another edge The vast majority of my profits from 2020-2022 were made via news trading but since then the amount of news I traded have dropped quite a lot. I’ve turned off a lot of news channels and only see news that move the entire market
