The far left and far right are sure that things are worse than they used to be. The left blames capitalism. The right blames immigrants and feminism. Things are not worse than they used to be. (Yes, it's adjusted for inflation, including housing. Yes, it's median, not average.)

I never even spoke to my kid this way. This is not someone who wants to communicate; it’s someone who wants to humiliate.
