building @heavendex
great feedback
we cover this and much more on the @heavendex space
ultimately, many of these statements seem obvious in hindsight, but weren’t mentioned in their original post for a reason
new companies are essentially running sets of experiments based on how they see the market. some will work and some will not work
heaven is no different
these insights wouldn’t have been crystallized without heaven pioneering our product forward, and testing our theses and perspectives
and we were pioneering
many of the things that seem cemented in the launchpad arena now (100% buybacks, accessible flywheels), were not cemented at all when heaven launched
where the experiment broke down was over-indexing on how unique and defensible our core offering was, and under-indexing on early eco support and championing a runner much more strongly
i think the whole “momentum from tge” thing is true, but the best part about this space is that no one ever really looks away
it’s our job as market participants to be open to being disproven (strong opinions loosely held), and to make rapid adjustments to our perspectives when new information is available to us
as you said, it would take something remarkable for heaven to turn things around
that is exactly what we are oriented around building
taking all that we’ve learned from this first set of experiments (alongside the market) and cooking something remarkable
we are not interested in building something marginally better and tinkering, we are interested in creating new games entirely
alongside opening up verticals that extend beyond the category of “launchpad” or “amm”
it takes a lot more than being crypto native to execute a vision (which this team has), but i wouldn’t underestimate the benefits of being crypto native as founders, and the foundation that is lays for a protocol
listening, ideating, iterating, making decisions with the pulse of the market. being native helps us to experiment better, and get closer to the core of what the market needs. it also helps us to analyze each experiment much more thoroughly
i truly don’t think that anyone is more aware of where we went wrong, what we should have done differently, etc, than our team, and i think the spaces reflects that
many battles will be fought, many will be lost and won, but the arena remains open for the foreseeable future
we must simply get up, and continue creating
god speed
