Love to see something similar to Ekubo's DCA orders reaching the masses. @EkuboProtocol sold a third of its tokens via DCA orders on Starknet almost 2 years ago now.
Notably, DCA (powered by our TWAMM extension) is the key to solving drawbacks described in the CCA whitepaper.
DCA is more flexible, allowing for cancellation and placement of orders at any time with pricing computed continuously. You can even allow users to withdraw their proceeds during the auction, making price discovery more efficient. It's the superior tool for this type of auction.
The only UX benefit of CCA is seller price floors and buyer price limits, but IMO that is also what allows for per-interval manipulation and is something that should be handled externally (either off-chain or in the launchpad contract).
First Uniswap CCA auction is done, and it was beautiful
$59m in bids. No sniping, bundling, timing games
Just slow, fair price discovery ending at 59% above the floor — with literally days to bid earlier and get a better average price
Even if you bid $10b fdv on the first day, you would not have overpaid, and instead executed at a dca price between floor and clearing
And now, a large portion of the auction proceeds and reserve of tokens will be used to seed a Uniswap v4 pool that will be the largest secondary market liquidity source
