Step 1: Create and Backup your Wallet#

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create your OKX Wallet:

For App users:#

Download the OKX Wallet App

1. Search for the OKX App or OKX Wallet App on the App Store or Google Play
   • Alternatively, Visit OKX Wallet official website, select Download App, and scan the QR code to download it
2. Launch the app after installation

Create a New Wallet

1. Click on the top bar and select Web3
2. Tap Create Wallet, and click Create Now if you want to create a new seed phrase-backed wallet
3. Set up your security method. Choose either face recognition or password protection for your OKX Wallet

Back Up Your Wallet

1. To unlock the full functionality of OKX Wallet, you need to back up your wallet
2. Choose between Cloud backup or Manual backup. Follow the instructions on the screen
3. You will be given a 12-word seed phrase—write it down and store it in a secure, offline location. Never share this phrase!
4. Confirm your seed phrase by entering the words in the correct order
5. Once confirmed, your OKX Wallet is successfully created!

For Web users:#

Install the OKX Wallet Browser Extension

1. Open your preferred web browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox)
2. Visit OKX Wallet official website
3. Click on Connect Wallet and after that click on Add to add the OKX Wallet extension to your browser
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the extension via your browser's extension store
5. Once installed, the OKX Wallet extension should automatically bring you to the wallet setup page

Create a New Wallet

1. Click Create Wallet and choose Seed phrase if you want to create a fresh wallet backed by seed phrase
2. Choose a method to secure your OKX Wallet. You can either enable biometric authentication or password to access your OKX Wallet

Back Up Your Wallet

1. To unlock the full functionality of OKX Wallet, you need to back up your wallet
2. You will be given a 12-word seed phrase—write it down and store it in a secure, offline location. Never share this phrase!
3. Confirm your seed phrase by entering the words in the correct order
4. Once confirmed, your OKX Wallet is successfully created!
