Hearing rumours that people are being offered $500k jobs just for having a lot of followers on twitter As someone who’s done 50+ interviews for crypto marketing jobs and worked with many big brands, here’s what I'll say: 99% of these salaries are larps Everyone likes to throw numbers around and pretend to be the big dog but most of it is fake or exaggerated It usually won't end up going through or it's just a lie Even the biggest and best teams in the industry aren't handing out salaries over $250k and that's for top talent Another thing I learned... A lot of crypto projects don't have these big budgets that people think they do I've done campaigns with projects that are worth hundreds of millions and just raised 8 figures and still cheap out when it comes to spending on jobs Working in crypto isn't a free ticket for a 6 figure salary The only influencers that actually make a lot of money working in crypto are the ones that bring value on top of their social presence (marketing skills, BD, dev, etc) If you have these skills then great You're in the top 1% of talent in this industry But if not, I doubt any project will throw that much money at you just because you have some followers
