Curiosità: Tolkien ha preso la parola ‘eleventy’ dall'inglese antico. Dopo 70, 80 e 90, l'inglese antico continuava con tenty, eleventy e twelfty: hundtēontiġ, hundenleftiġ, hundtwelftiġ. Si pensa che questo sia un segno di un antico sistema numerico in base 12 un tempo comune tra le tribù germaniche.
